Refund policy

This Returns and Refund Policy describes your statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer and how to exercise it. It is based on Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights and the Estonian Law of Obligations Act (Võlaõigusseadus), §§ 52 et seq.

1. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer (a natural person purchasing for purposes outside your trade, business or profession), you have the right to withdraw from the contract of sale within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party (other than the carrier) indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods.

In the case of multiple goods ordered in one order and delivered separately, the period starts on the day on which you, or the person you designated, acquires possession of the last item.

2. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email).

You may use the model withdrawal form set out at the end of this Policy, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

3. Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

4. Return of Goods

You must send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

Return shipping costs. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

Please return items, where possible, in their original packaging, with all tags, dust bags, and accessories included.

5. Condition of Returned Goods

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. You may examine the garment as you would in a shop (for example, try it on), but you must not wear, wash, alter, or damage it. Items returned in a condition that goes beyond such examination may be subject to a deduction from the refund, proportionate to the diminished value.

6. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with § 53(4) of the Estonian Law of Obligations Act and Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply, among other things, to:

  • Goods manufactured according to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised — this includes all made-to-measure (MTM) and bespoke items ordered from us.
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and that have been unsealed after delivery.
  • Goods that, after delivery, have been inseparably mixed with other items.

For made-to-measure orders, please read Section 9 of our Terms of Service before ordering. This exception applies even if the fabric, lining, or details are selected from a predefined set of options, provided the garment is produced individually for you.

7. Faulty or Non-Conforming Goods

This Policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty, damaged, or non-conforming goods. If you receive a product that is defective or does not match its description, please contact us at info@manheimerberlin.com as soon as possible, and in any event within the 2-year legal warranty period set out in Section 8 of our Terms of Service.

In such cases, the legal warranty under the Estonian Law of Obligations Act applies and you are entitled to repair or replacement and, where applicable, to a reduction of the price or termination of the contract, without charge.

8. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. To receive a different size or item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.
